Tile that is installed correctly and maintained can last up to a lifetime. Different tile materials have varying lifespans, but in general tile is a very durable and long-lasting material compared to other flooring types.
Porcelain, ceramic, and natural stone tiles offer a huge variety of options when it comes to color and texture. Find the right one to fit your home.
The manufacturing process itself creates a very healthy product. Tile emits very little to no VOCs (volatile organic compounds) due to the kiln-firing they undergo when produced. Certain tile materials are non-porous making them easy to clean and sterilize.
Properly installed and sealed, a Chattanooga tile installation is very easy to maintain, durable, and very resistant to water and staining. Soap and water can clean almost any spill.
Both ceramic (non-porcelain) and porcelain tiles are made from clay and minerals which are kiln-fired into rigid, durable tiles. The only difference is that porcelain tiles contain 50% of a white dust called feldspar. When porcelain tiles are fired, the feldspar melts and creates a bonding agent for all the other materials. This makes porcelain even more durable than ceramic tiles.
Natural stone tile is comes from larger pieces of rock that are cut down into tiles. These are typically made up of the following material:
Slate – naturally textured and very durable – great for kitchens

This a good company to do business with, we had three rooms to lay vinyl tile planks, they moved the heavy furniture and explained the process how it would be done. The crew was very nice and professional. After they finished laying the tile planks, my wife and I, decided to have new oak wood stairs installed, replacing the carpeted stair steps, which COMPLETE FLOORING also does and they custom mixed the stain to match the tile vinyl planks and it looks great. We plan on using COMPLETE FLOORING for more projects.Jack W.
